Well May has been pirate month for the littles, and what fun we have been having.
Here are the activities that we have been up to. Pics to come.
Some story card drawings for the little BIGs.
I’m quite excited by the concept- the kids will each pick a card, & collectively make up a story by combining them. We will write the story & the kids will illustrate ‘their’ page themselves. Put it all together & a copy for each of the kids. Perfect!
The drawings are Unfinished and there are more to come, but here are some tasters.
Well its been a great March at Little Big Fitness. For the littles we concerntrated on ‘me’, and made a book, focusing on one body part a week and drawing, writing then seeing what we can do with it.
The adults had initial fitness testing, the basics of a 300 set, and boxing. Its been a bit of a short month, so we extended the ‘Me’ book theme and will move onto ‘some of my favorite things’ in April (with an Easter activity as well), then start on ‘Pirates’ in May (so excited!)
So here are some of the kids beautiful artwork so far, thanks guys, you have been fantastic!
A snippet of what the kids have been up to in March.
This months theme was ‘me’, and the kids built a book about themselves. Class time was devoted to different body parts and what they can do (eg. hands, feet, heads, next week will be bodies). Lots of writing, drawing, some beautiful colouring in and quite a few stickers were involved! We also read books with the group as a closing activity to tie in with the days theme and activities.
For the fundamental movement skills we practiced kicking, throwing and catching and obstacle courses. We also had a great game of football with the kids as a warm up for the mums before their exercise session. A lot more of the adult warm ups will involve games with the kids, so everyone is participating- also, its lots of fun!
Here are a couple of pictures from Sam’s ‘me’ book. I will post up pics of what the other kids have been up to in the next week or so.
